Safety
Planning for a child involves a great deal of yourself. Here, in concrete terms, is what we put in place to protect you, and what remains in your hands.
Every photo and every piece of public text is held in a pending state, out of sight, then reviewed before it appears on your profile.
Each badge says one precise thing, and nothing more. None of them is an absolute guarantee.
The content of the photo has passed moderation. This badge says nothing about the person's identity.
A selfie taken live was compared with the profile's main photo: the same person appears in both images. This badge proves neither age nor legal identity.
This verification is not offered at the moment.
The person's age (18 or over) and, where applicable, their identity have been verified by a specialist provider or, failing that, through a human review. The identity document is never published or shown to other members.
When only age has been verified, the badge reads “Age verified (18+)”.
When a message is reported, only that message and the few messages before it are passed to the person responsible for reviewing it, never the whole conversation. These items are kept for a limited time.
Most conversations go well. Some signs should nevertheless put you on your guard:
Team accounts are protected by two-factor authentication, their rights are limited to their role, and every sensitive access is justified and recorded in an audit log.
If you are in immediate danger, first contact the emergency services in your country (112 in the European Union). BabyYouWay is not an emergency service: we deal with reports, but we cannot intervene on the spot.
If you think that a minor is using the service, or that someone is being threatened or coerced, report it without delay: these reports are dealt with as a priority.
