Community guidelines

What we expect of every member so that BabyYouWay remains a safe, respectful and honest space.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Draft text — to be validated by a qualified lawyer before any commercial launch. This document describes how the service is intended to operate. It has not yet been legally validated, it may change, and the items in square brackets remain to be completed.

Working version of 1 October 2026.

The spirit of the community

BabyYouWay brings together adults who want to have a child, in very different configurations. Each deserves the same respect: single person, couple, pair, whatever their orientation or gender identity. A pathway is an intention chosen by the person, never a label to be stuck on others.

What we ask of you

  • Be yourself: one account per person, accurate information, a main photo that depicts you.
  • Be clear about your project: say what you are looking for and what you are not looking for.
  • Respect the other person's pace: a refusal calls for neither insistence nor justification.
  • Stay on the platform at first: messaging protects you, and a report is only possible for what happens there.
  • Report what worries you: you are protecting other members too.

What is prohibited

  • Any presence of, or any content involving, minors. The service is for adults only and photos of children are not accepted.
  • Sexual solicitation, nudity, pornography.
  • Harassment, threats, hateful or discriminatory remarks, in particular on the grounds of orientation, gender identity, origin, religion, disability or family configuration.
  • Fraud: requests for money, loans, gift cards or bank transfers, whatever reason is given.
  • The sale, purchase, reservation, shipping or exchange of gametes, and any payment between members for a donation.
  • Pressure and coercion: demanding a quick decision, making someone feel guilty, threatening.
  • Personal contact details, links and advertising in a profile or in a first contact request.
  • Identity documents, medical documents and false certificates.
  • Impersonation, fake profiles, use of another person's photos.
  • The collection or sharing of other members' data, including by screenshot.

Health and law

Members are neither doctors nor lawyers for one another. BabyYouWay provides no medical or legal advice and hosts neither insemination instructions nor screening certificates. For these matters, speak to authorised professionals in your country.

Donation pathway

This pathway exists only in countries where it has been opened following a legal review. Where it is open, it is used to get in touch and to find your way to authorised professional organisations. A donor is not a co-parent: these are two distinct roles. No promise can be made about legal parenthood, anonymity or anyone's rights.

If the rules are not followed

Depending on the seriousness: removal of the content, a warning, suspension of the account. Measures are proportionate and reasons are given, and you can ask for a person to review the decision. See the moderation and appeals policy.

In case of danger

If you are in immediate danger, first contact the emergency services in your country (112 in the European Union). Then report the situation from the profile or conversation concerned.
