Moderation and appeals policy
How photos and text are approved before publication, how reports are handled and how to contest a decision.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Draft text — to be validated by a qualified lawyer before any commercial launch. This document describes how the service is intended to operate. It has not yet been legally validated, it may change, and the items in square brackets remain to be completed.
Working version of 1 October 2026.
The principle: nothing is visible before approval
Every photo and every piece of public text on a profile is reviewed before it is displayed. Until content has been approved, it stays private: no other member can see it. A photo awaiting review is not displayed to anyone, not even to you.
The steps
- Upload: the content is placed in a private space, pending.
- Technical checks: format, size, removal of metadata (including location), detection of duplicates.
- Automated analysis: an AI system assesses the content against the rules below.
- Decision: the content is approved, passed to a member of our team, or rejected with a reason.
Content that clearly complies may be approved automatically. Ambiguous cases, low-confidence analyses and appeals are always reviewed by a person.
What is rejected
Photos: nudity, sexual acts, pornography, any sexualisation of minors, graphic violence, identity documents, visible contact details, advertising, clearly misleading content. Your main photo must show your face and depict you.
Text: sexual solicitation, threats and violence, fraud and requests for money, contact details intended to bypass the service, sale or purchase of gametes, harassment and hate speech, spam.
What the automated analysis does not do
- It does not infer your identity, your legal age or your intentions from an image.
- It does not penalise an orientation, a gender identity, a couple or family configuration, or a legitimate discussion about donation.
- It never imposes a permanent exclusion on its own.
If the analysis is unavailable
Your new content stays private and pending, and is then analysed again or reviewed by a person. Nothing is published by default.
Changing content that has already been approved
The new version goes through approval again. In the meantime, the previously approved version stays on display.
Contesting a rejection
For each piece of rejected content, you can request a review once from your profile. A member of our team then takes up the case and you are informed of the outcome: rejection upheld, or content approved. Our aim is to deal with human reviews within twenty-four hours; this timescale is an aim, not a guarantee.
Reports after publication
Every profile, every photo and every message can be reported. The reasons offered are: scam or fraud, harassment or hate speech, sexual solicitation, pressure or coercion, exchange of gametes or money, person who may be under 18, other.
- Reports are ranked by priority; those concerning a person who may be under 18 or a danger are dealt with first.
- Where there is a serious risk, for example a suspicion that someone is under 18 or several separate reports, the content is removed provisionally while it is reviewed.
- The decision is taken by a person: no action, removal of the content, a warning or suspension of the account.
- For a reported message, only that message and the few messages before it are passed to the person handling the case, never the whole conversation.
Contesting a sanction
If your content has been removed or your account suspended following a report, you can ask for a review by writing to support@babyyouway.com. Your request is reviewed by a different person from the one who took the first decision, as far as possible. [to be completed: final procedure and timescales]
Traceability and retention
Every decision is timestamped and recorded with its reason, its author (automated system or person), the version of the content concerned and the version of the policy applied. The originals of rejected photos are kept for thirty days, to allow time for a possible appeal. The items of a report are kept encrypted for a limited period (twelve months by default), with restricted access.
Regulatory framework
[to be completed: point of contact, external means of redress and transparency reports required by the regulations applicable to online platforms in each country in which the service is marketed]
